I finally did it. Every time a Friday the 13th rolls around, especially in October, I try to arrange to get copies of the 1980 (original) and the 2009 (Jared Padalecki) versions of the movie and watch them back to back. I have finally pulled it off! And the librarian who processed my holds was impressed and a little jealous. Over the years, I have seen both versions multiple times. I like them, but for different reasons. If pressed, I'd say I like the 1980 version a little bit more. It even inspired a Batman AU universe of mine. I only finished one fic for it and there is a good chance I won't revisit it just because of some character relationship logistics.

It was also the first day of my (temporary) new job and I had to spend time with customer service trying to figure out why our landline still wasn't working after two weeks (It's fixed now). I'm impressed I was able to stay awake long enough to watch both movies.
