Although a lot has been made about my new kitty, I have managed to not neglect my fish, kinda. I am trying to make up some sort of care guide for mom so she can take care of Nu Nu while I am at school. Also for some reason I thought it was the most awesome thing ever when I heard him eating for the first time. And then I felt bad because I had no one to share it with and it sounds kinda dorky and stupid getting excited of the noise of a fish munching.

Livers was in town for a little bit. We went out for pizza and had the best beer ever. Ok maybe not ever but it was good and I was surprised. If the bartender hadn’t recommended it I would have never tried it, as I am a firm believer that if you can see through it, it isn’t really beer. It was fun we talked, mostly I ranted and she went on about the new boyfriend, it was wonderful.

I have been working on my graduation announcements. I know what they are going to look like. I have the font and graphics picked out. I have a list of who gets them and who gets what pictures. I just need to pick out colors, paper and find envelops.

I baby sat my cousin Aidan (yes that is how they spell his name) for a day. He was 11 months old at the time and he is adorable and I would do it again, but I am glad I got to hand him over to someone else at the end of the day.

I watched the 1st season of Queer as Folk with my mother. That was very awkward. Although I will admit it was the first time I watched the show with another person. Hopefully some day I will own all the seasons…or at least be somewhere where I can rent them.

For awhile I took up sleeping in the living room the cough hide-a-bed is so much more comfortable than my bed and it is much bigger. But it was really bugging my mom so I stopped.

I have been trying to brush-up/relearn/remember any of my German. I have mostly been using it only to translate odd little things Hairball brings me but I always need help with that. I have also tried reading some music magazine articles (mostly about HIM) but usually I give up and wait for someone to post a translation. I feel bad about this so I got some books from the library to help me brush up a bit. Also, Jen and I came up with some ideas on things that might help too. Her roommate was also learning German and she got some of those poetry magnets, in German. And I know some people online I could be practicing with. I’m sure I can come up with some more ways too. Lets just hope I stick with it and it doesn’t become something I used to know.

I have started the Gardisil vaccine series. For such a tiny syringe it is a huge needle.

I have been doing a lot of the cooking. That means a lot of Asian food. To add some variety to it mom got a ton of Asian cook books from the Library. None the less I am mostly making Thai food. I am also getting good at rolling sushi.

I got some text messages that were Ads! This does not make me happy to say the least.

I have decided that something is very wrong with me. Someone online is raising baby rats and she posted picture of her..um..litter at four weeks old and I just thought the little hairless bastards where the cutest things ever.

This is something just to make Mandy happy. In Spin magazine every month they have a “72 hours in…” city guide feature and in the August issue it was Portland, OR.

I am starting the like the color orange and it is starting to scare me.

I watched the documentary “Journey of Man” and it is awesome. I recommend it to everyone.

I have been looking for my copy of The Last Manly Man since high school. It looks like a romance novel, it sounds like a romance novel, but it is a feminist detective mystery. I loaned it out to a ton of people in high school but was certain I had gotten it back. I was going batty looking for it, wondering if it had every really existed. It turns out it was in jenny’s bedroom in the house up the river the whole time. We were actually surprised we didn’t find more of my stuff there.

One of my favorite episodes of the Simpson's was played recently. It features my favorite character, after Homer, Side Show Bob. It is my favorite episode because it is the only episode that also features Bob’s brother Cecil Terwilliger and Bob is actually the good guy.

I have been looking forward to weekend early morning programming because on fox they have been playing channel previews of a new cable channel called the Tube. It is just music videos, nothing else and it is wonderful. Just random music videos all night/morning long.

They have discontinued Jane magazine and are replacing it for the remainder of my subscription with Glamour. I am not pleased.
