Sorry this is a bit late. Things have been chaotic. I'm also sorry the coding is a bit inconsistent. Please keep in mind I'm writing this all on a phone.

Day 4: Talk About Television This Year

I watch a lot of TV. I need background sounds to function and TV seems to work the best.

This year, I had several extended housesitting gigs that changed up available shows to me, allowing me to revisit some old favorites and explore some new things. Our TV antenna also stopped picking up a signal from June to September. We never did find out why. It did mean we started checking out even more DVDs from the library than usual.

Currently, we are doing rewatches of Poirot, Murdoch Mysteries, Midsomer Murders, and Bob's Burgers. We had intended to watch them all in order from beginning to end, but since we've seen them all already, we are just getting what is available at the library in as close to chronological order as we can. Luckily, I've made a tracker to keep track of what seasons we've watched to make it a little easier.

Earlier in the year, we binged the complete Downton Abbey series, including the movies.

I realized I should clarify that the we is my mother and myself.

During one of my housesitting gigs, I got the opportunity to watch the complete 1943 Batman serials and the complete 1949 Batman and Robin serials. It's something I've wanted to do for a long time, but had never gotten a chance.

This summer, I finally decided to watch the final season of Walker, mostly just to see how they ended it. I never did make up my mind if I liked it or not. Nor could I figure out how it survived as a show for so long.

I have sort of stopped watching the 1950s Adventures of Superman & 1960s Batman TV shows. I still love them, they are just on at really inconvenient times for me right now.

Animation Domination is still must watch television in our house. Mom and I have been watching The Simpsons together every week since it started (baring periods we didn't have TV or I was living elsewhere or it wasn't on). Mom doesn't really care for the rest of the current lineup, which this year has been Grimsburg, Krapopolis, Bob's Burgers, The Great North, The Simpsons, and Universal Basic Guys, depending on the time of year. Grimsburg and Universal Basic Guys are new shows. Grimsburg's first season aired from January to May and, while it grew on me, I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Universal Basic Guys premiered this fall and I don't really care for it, but I couldn't really tell you why. I look forward to the rest of the shows though.

Another housesitting find was Moosemeat & Marmalade. It "brings two very different chefs [Art Napoleon, seasoned hunter & bushcook of Canada, and Dan Hayes, classically trained French chef of the UK] together to explore culture, culinary traditions and really good food." I found it on FNX, First Nations Experience. A television channel devoted to exclusively indigenous content and it's amazing.

I also came across The Heroic Quest of the Valiant Prince Ivandoe on Cartoon Network while housesitting and couldn't get enough of it.

Svengoolie (horror movie host) celebrated his 45 anniversary this year. The show also brought on 3 new sidekicks. For October they also brought back Svengoolie's Halloween Boo-Nanza on METV. For the month of October, it focuses on Halloween episodes of its regular classic TV programming, Svengoolie gets a double feature Saturday nights. Svengoolie also go a new spin off show this year called House of Svengoolie. It's essentially the same show, just hosted by the new sidekicks instead of Svengoolie himself. They did a very lovely tribute to Jim Henson and to puppets. (Two separate tributes) After Svengoolie, there are late night show binge specials featuring a different show each week, like one week it will be Kolchak the Night Stalker all night, the next, it will Twilight Zone all night, etc. And the week of Halloween, Toon in With Me becomes Hallo-Palooza, the morning cartoons have a different Halloween related theme each day and the hosts do a week long bit of their own. This year it was a scavenger hunt at haunted places and trivia.

This fall, the first season of Murder in a Small Town & the second season of Accused (US version) premiered on a channel I get. I thoroughly enjoyed watching those each week.

At two different housesitting gigs I got to watch Toonami for the first time in years. The highlights for me were getting to watch the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba (Swordsmith Village Arc) s4 premier and the Rick and Morty the Anime Japanese Language Premier.

I've also been enjoying The Penguin, but I haven't finished it yet.

For Batman Day, I tried to binge as much of Batman the Animated Series as I could, and I think I only made it to episode 19. I haven't watched it since it was new, so that was fun.

One place I housesat had a large selection of free channels that came with their TV that just played a single show continuously in random episode order. My favorites for background noise were the My Little Pony channel that aired both the original series and Friendship is Magic, the Murder She Wrote channel (I loved that show as a kid), and the Midsomer Murders channel, which was having some sort of contest because of the upcoming 25th season/series. I also had a lot of fun with Retro Crush, which was subbed anime.

See post about movies in 2024/day 3 for note about complete list.

Why did it take me so many hours to finish this?

I did this at the library with the countdown clock staring at me the whole time, I should probably do it again when I can think, lol.

Snagged from [personal profile] razielim

Favorite Pseud: My favorite of mine is probably spiralicious, even if its origin story now has not necessarily the happiest feelings for me anymore. I have others that are certainly easier to spell and make more sense, but this is the one that has stuck.

Time Zone: PST

Star Sign(s): Cancer sun (Aquarius moon, Virgo rising)

Favorite Holidays: Halloween & New Year's Day

Last Meal: As in the last one I’ve had? I had leftover cream of mushroom soup with garlic and hamburger and oyster crackers, cranberry juice to drink, and I had a tester cookie for breakfast. I should probably eat something soon.

Current Favorite Musician: I wouldn’t say they’re my favorite, but my playlists have been heavily favoring Fall Out Boy & All Time Low lately.

Last Music Listened To: According to Spotify, it was “Dani California” by Red Hot Chili Peppers on my Cooking playlist (the playlist has nothing to do with cooking). Though I think in reality it was that selection of Fall Out Boy, All Time Low, Florence and the Machine, The Front Bottoms, & other random things I’ve been relistening to over and over again.

Last Movie Watched: Rewatching The Shining as part of my horror movie and knit marathon.

Last TV Show Watched: People’s Court while I was getting ready this morning.

Last Book/Fic Finished: I binged a whole bunch of Stargate Atlantis fics last night (I am pretty sure some Batman, The Witcher [video game], Interview with the Vampire [tv series] fics were in there too.) But the last book was The Power of Style by Christian Allaire, according to Beanstack.

Last Book/Fic Abandoned: The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBride. It was for book club, which met today and I didn’t finish it, though I am not sure I have completely abandoned it yet.

Currently Reading: I am starting a new book when I get home, I think it is Man Made Monsters by Andrea L. Rogers.

Books/Shows/Movies/etc. You Want to Get Around To: On my overly ambitious list for by the end of the year I have, Good Omens season 2, The Boys, the new Batman Christmas movie who’s name suddenly escapes me Merry Little Batman, finish Harley Quinn season 3 & watch season 4… and there are like 3 or 4 things on my HBO list I can’t look at right now and a stack of library materials XD Justice League: Warworld (2023), catch up Batman: The Audio Adventures, Prague Spring by Simon Mawer (though I will probably skip this one), Lumberjanes #11-13, The Strange True Tale of Frankenstein's Creator Mary Shelley by Catherine Reef, Ice Cream Man Sundae Edition, Volume One, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, This Book is Gay (2021 revised and updated edition) by Juno Dawson, Mushrooming by Diane Borgato, Samurai Champloo rewatch, Batman: Death in the Family interactive blu-ray, Yuri on Ice, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show rewatch.

Last Thing Researched for Art/Writing/Hyperfixation: curly haired animals and how bushy a racoon tail is exactly.

Last Eureka, Breakthrough, or Neat Fact/Concept Learned: I actually had a really important one like a week ago, but its probably completely TMI

Favorite Online Fandom Memory: I am going to be vague and go with old group chats.

Favorite Old Fandom You Wish Would Drag You Back In/Have A Resurgence: I honestly don’t have one. It feels weird to say that.

Favorite Thing You Enjoy That Never Had an Active or Big "Fandom" but You Wish It Did: There was a time when I could name a few things, but sitting here with the countdown clock going, my mind is blank.

After thinking about it for a day, I just want to add here that most of the time I think something doesn't have a big or active fandom, it either does and I just haven't been looking in the right spot or it ends up having one later. Also, I don't know if this counts, as its a weird crossover pairing from two fandoms that have no reason to meet whatsoever, but it is lonely over here on appropriately aged Zuko/appropriately aged Jason Todd island.

Tempting Project You're Trying to Rein In/Don't Have Time For: I have an AU idea for a no capes AU of the Justice League as Youtubers. It has gotten entirely out of hand. The post about it, just talking about the idea on DW, I started in September has gotten so out of hand/unruly I haven’t been able to get it posted.

Tempting Project You're 100% Going to Undertake: Filling as many requests as possible at [community profile] fandomtrees and [community profile] holiday_wishes.

ETA: To fix a typo, Add/fix titles on "get around to" list, and add too "favorite thing you enjoy that never had a big or active fandom

This is definitely not complete, especially the Webtoons list, but it's as complete as I could make it. A lot of the non-fiction books are also graphic novels. Most of the novels are book club picks, including the Colleen Hoover one. My Adventures with Superman is new animated series on HBO. Adventures of Superman is a live action series from the 1950s.

I made Pocket choke on his ice cream cone. We were talking about my piercing and then he was giving me a bad time about leaving in December, so I said "I would only be staying here to get more piercings." Then he choked. You had to be there, but he likes my nose ring.

I have finally seen the Guru.

This crusty old guy told me I had a beautiful smile. It was unexpected and came at the right time. Because it caught me completely off guard and seemed genuine, it brightened my day.

Amazingly my piercing is a week old and it is doing well. I have managed to keep to the care instructions very well and no infections or anything. Go me!

I have been basically living off sushi and water. Granted it's sushi from the school bistro but hey it is better than some of the sushi at some of the restaurants around here.

This is awesome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00geU9cjFG8&mode=related&search=

Thursday night was the premiere of the new season of CSI. My roommate invited my friend powerpuffboy to come watch it with us because he has no tv and really wanted to see if Sarah dies. (Sadly, she does not.) This irked me a little because even though he is my friend, and we were going to watch it anyway, and I really don't mind too much if he comes over, she asked him without asking me first. It shouldn't bug me but it does a little bit. He called me afterward to tell me that he left his sweatshirt there and if it would be ok if he left it there till another day. I, of course, said yes, and now because of it I have gotten to meet the girlfriend. She was in town today and he decided to pick up the sweatshirt. She is a very sweet girl and I am glad I finally got to meet her.

It is weird being back here because everyone I know is at a totally new place in their lives then they were last time I saw them. I see more people that I know then I have any other school year but in completely new contexts. Pocket isn't an RA anymore, now he is a complex director assistant. The DAs that stayed are no longer my coworkers. There are people I lived with their freshmen years (my sophomore, junior and 1st senior years) are in my classes and it is the first time I have seen them since we lived together. The list goes on and on.

Friday, Hoobie and I went to Spirit. I could have spent forever in there. I was having one of those "I'll take one of everything please" moments. I managed to leave with only on purchase of an $8 top hat. How we may never know. Halloween is truly my favorite holiday. I'm going back on Tuesday because they are getting a new shipment in.

I am a little bummed because this weekend was a Zombie walk, nudie sushi night, and Fetish night and, for various reasons, I had to miss them all.

Another reason to go back to Spirit. There is this guy that works there. Do I really need to add more details? He is the one that told me about the shipment coming in and the Zombie night. He also went out of his way to say bye to me when Hoobie and I left the store. I wonder what costume he will be wearing this time.

Hairball and I made it to Saturday Market. She bought a fabulous hat. There are pictures of the fabulous hat. One day I may finish uploading photos to facebook and flickr and you will be able to see them. Hopefully this will remain a standing appointment for us for the rest of the season.

On Sunday, I dragged my roommate out of our room because I was tired of watching her mope about with nothing to do. We went to the mall and I now own my first HIM t-shirt. It was the first one I have ever seen in my size. We also went to target and the movies. Target was more entertaining than it should have been. The toy section and the holiday section had me practically drooling and I was able to price flash drives. We also both finally got to see The Simpsons Movie. It was well worth the wait. I was singing spider pig all the way home.

For the HIM fans: There have been a bunch of good links to listen to radio interviews on Valo Daily. I would make links to them but I have a feeling that by the time I post this some of the links would be expired and it is a lot of work to post that many, so you will have to search on your own. But they are worth the search.

Today I went with my aunt to the human resources center to find out that they have you just fill out a form online. Then we went to the unemployment office were we both found nothing. After that I helped her buy a new printer. I went back to bed after that because Romeo kept me up all night. He wanted to play. Then this morning when I was finally asleep he discovered my open window and I had to grab him (on several occasions) to keep him from jumping out of it. I guess it is time to start letting him explore outside. My mom came home early today and was in a kind of scary good mood. We went grocery shopping and bought a couple of movies. We got Marie Antoinette and Pan's Labyrinth. We even checked the mail. She never wants to check the mail. I got the latest ccs catalog in the mail. *squees* I don't know how or why but I'm glad its here. No, I am not buying anything. The only thing in there that I am in the market for right now is a helmet. Of course there are other things in there I want but I'm a bit cash poor at the moment as we all know. Also, tonight on of the Simpson's reruns they aired was one that mom and I always fight about. It is the one where Homer goes to the chili contest and eats a bunch of insanity peppers and goes and a vision quest with a talking coyote. We always argue over who is the voice of the coyote. Tonight we finally watched the credits and I won! It WAS Johnny Cash. Muahahahahaha. Tomorrow I need to do dishes and finish the laundry. I should also check out a couple of want ads I found in the paper. Strange this all seemed so exciting when this all was happening. Pity.

Well my birthday was rather quiet. Big surprise. I did get a bunch of phone calls and facebook messages. That's much better then usual. Mom gave me a bunch of gift cards and a cake. Although my grandmother did spill the beans that I have a surprise birthday party tomorrow. Well, it is going to be my mom, sister, her two kids, my aunt, my great aunt and my grandmother standing around watching me open greeting cards (at best) and eating leftover cake from today. I don't know if that qualifies as a party but it is the best I can hope for. No I'm not disappointed. It is better than most years. I usually don't even get that much. Last year was awesome but it was my 21st. My dad took me to dinner tonight. We went to the Onion Grill because Lee's is no more. It was good. He even set up to have the staff bring me a chocolate mousse and sing me happy birthday. It was oddly sweet. It wasn't embarrassing like it is some places and no one has ever done that for me before. Frankly if someone wants to impress me or make me happy on my birthday the bar has been set very low. It was good to hear from Jenny I haven't heard from her in forever. Last night before I went to bed I got some tv reception on NBC and it was a Late Night with Conan O'Brien in San Fransisco with Robin Williams promoting License to Wed. Hairball would have loved it. Also mom forgot to put the garbage out last night and I remembered when I heard the garbage truck coming down the street. So I ran out at 2am and put the garbage out.
In honor of partying, or lack there of I decided to put together a top list:
Most played cds in my cd case (in no particular order):
Anything by Aerosmith
"Buckcherry" by Buckcherry
"Super Colossal Smash Hits of the 90s; The Best of the Mavericks" by The Mavericks
"Take a Break" by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes
"Shoot the Bingo Caller" by Slow Children
Anything by HIM
"Before You Were Punk" by various artists

So much for finishing anything. The only thing I did today was work on my charm bracelet. It was like pulling teeth to get the parts away from my mother last night. I don't know what it is but she has this thing about me being in possession of my own jewelry. She also gets really upset if anyone other than her works on my broken or jewelry that is in pieces. She has no time to work on them and its my jewelry why can't I work on putting it back together? Anyway, it is all really tiny pieces that require tiny sharp tools. I spent 3 hours just to get one charm on. I'm not even close to getting all my charms on. I am also still looking for some. I made brownies today too. They were awful. They were made from this weird mix. Even mom didn't like them. She suggested soaking them in Cognac and setting them on fire.
I only set off 2 fireworks tonight. So sad I know. It isn't a whole lot of fun alone. This is also the first year we have had to buy fireworks in about 8 years. The ones mom got were kind of lame. She got a giant box of spinners, and 2 boxes of screaming fountains, and these weird crackling things. In the back yard we have this big cement slab. I lit off one of the crackling things in the middle of it and the whole slab was not enough to contain it. And I hate those screaming fountains. At least the neighbor kids had fun. They have been lighting off fireworks for a couple days now and they are still at it. It is the first time in a long time we have had kids in the neighborhood. Most of them had moved away or were over 16 by the time I was 8. Its kinda cool really. There are several of them and they all play instruments, including the drums, all night long. And they have dogs that bark. They run around the neighborhood like crazy people. The oldest, she is 13 or 14 I think, has blue hair and seems to always be wearing ripped tights whenever I see her in town. Its almost like life has been breathed into the neighborhood. Too bad they are moving.
I'm surprised my dad didn't call because he said he would call before my birthday and my birthday is tomorrow and he hasn't called.
And no tv was coming in at all today. The better the weather, the worse the tv comes in. So I finished season 5 of Viva la Bam and watched it again with the commentary. Mom even likes it with the commentary. She asks a lot of questions and comments while we are watching but they are all valid. Like "where is that guy from?" (Jussi from 69 Eyes) or "Wow they have a lot of music on there" (watching the credits). I am just babbling now. I also watched Jane Eyre (George C. Scott and Susanah York)and OF Human Bondage (Betty Davis). I suppose I will stop boring you now and maybe I go to bed like a normal person.

Today I got off my ass and applied somewhere. Their exact response was "she'll [the person who does the hiring] call you when she sees it [my application]. So I have no idea if they are going to give me a job or not. Today was also my niece's birthday. She is officially a teenager. Yay. Mom and I went to her party at grandma's house. Technically she is my sister's grandmother but I still call her grandma. It was exactly as one would expect it to be but I got to see grandma, my sister, my sister's dad, my nephew and my brother-in-law and I haven't seen any of them since I got home. I saw my niece when she hit us up for cans for a can drive to raise money so one of their friends can have brain surgery. I'm kinda bummed that I lost all of my greeting cards. Last August there was a sale on greeting cards so I stocked up for the year and now I can't find them. I was also disappointed to find out that my niece, sister and brother-in-law all owe my nephew money. I am a tad protective of him. I am also slightly shocked that not only does my brother-in-law have a job but he has actually managed to keep it for a few weeks. My sister's dad is also selling his car for a very reasonable price. Its a 79 Corvette T-Top. I won't be buying it but it would be sweet. If I did buy it my sister would also kill me. I also FINALLY got to listen to Euro Rock Radio for the first time since I have been home. Well I listened the best I could. Have you ever tried listening to online radio on dial-up? The first night I tried but we had no internet and later I found out it was HIM night. Then the next Tuesday it was the day of silence. SERIOUSLY GO TO http://www.savenetradio.org/ AND MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD. DON'T LET THE MUSIC DIE.
Also the sound on Fox was still out today, so I finished watching season 4 of Viva la Bam and then watched it again with the commentary on. Then I started watching season 5. Later I may watch Jane Eyre with George C. Scott and Sussanah York and Of Human Bandage with Betty Davis. Hopefully tomorrow I will finish cleaning my room or something so I feel like I actually accomplished something. Maybe I'll even find out I have a job. Considering it's the 4th tomorrow I doubt it. I didn't think about that when I applied.

Well I am still unemployed much to my mother's disappointment. Everything just went wrong this morning so I didn't even go look. But now I have my shit together so I have no excuse not to go tomorrow. And with my luck it will be the only place in town that doesn't need anybody and I will have to go look else where. So, what did I do you may ask? I attempted many projects only to fail miserably at all of them for various reasons. I put on the tv for background noise and Fox was coming in clearer than it ever has, but it had no sound. It was the only channel with no sound but the other two channels were really fuzzy. So I put on some dvds. I watched season 4 of Viva la Bam with and without commentary and some episodes of an old black and white tv version of Sherlock Holmes I got at the Dollar Tree. They were pretty good. I should see if they have more of them. It also proves I miss Martini because in the back of my mind I could clearly hear her say "Watson and Holmes are so doing it." I wonder how her move went. And I have to say Viva la Bam is funnier with commentary.

There is also a suggestion that goes with the website of the day today: "Put on some Led Zeppelin and you've got a laser light show right at your desk."

With all of my packing and cleaning I have decided to do a little mental house keeping. As you know I try to update fairly regularly but there are times I'm just not up to it for various reasons. That doesn't mean I didn't write an entry though, it just means it didn't get posted. I write on the bus all the time, (something I am really going to miss). So I have all of these un-posted entries cluttering up my mind, so I have decided over a period of time I am going to post them along with or instead of a regular entry until they are gone. So in the spirit of spring cleaning I am going to give you a brief preview of entries that are not getting posted but won't leave me alone anyway. Lucky you.

Forgotten Birthdays: I managed to miss both my great-grandmother's (101) and my oldest nephew's (17) birthdays this year.

The Erin Go Braughless party. This was part of my horrible St. Patrick's day I just refuse to relive it no matter how bad it haunts me.

My birthday is less then a month away. If I get another bath set I will scream.

I think I have said this before but I have heard that smoking can make your penis shrink a 1/2 an inch. There was a several page ramble to go with this but I think I will spare you unless you want to hear about it.

I had a massive debate on Ritz cracker cheese sandwiches vs. Ritz cracker peanut butter sandwiches. All you need to know is that peanut butter won. (Sorry Tini)

Most of you know I read a lot of Slash, so I had this long discussion about slash pairing names. To sum it up, even though it is not a pairing I read, my favorite pairing name is Dumb.(Dunn/Glomb)

Him is officially everywhere. I saw a wannabe Ville clone in Brookings over spring break.

Fangirling fangirls: I was going to gush over my favorite fanfic authors and fandoms but then I decided that it would just be better to try and stop being horribly shy and just come out of the lurking closet. Still working on that one.

This video disturbed me greatly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xEXfgjqtG8

My father has been watching the Riches (he has a thing for Minnie Driver) and he is convinced that Eddie Izzard used to go by Eddie Izzardo.

German guilt: This was a rather long rant about how my German speaking skills have gone to hell and that the only thing I use them for is trying to read through interviews in music mags and translating things for Hairball.

The Sharpie incident. See "The Erin Go Braughless party" above.

I had a very long rant trying to explain Ville Valo's mustache. The short version is "when you turn 30, you grow a mustache. It is something guys do."

I was going to sing the praises of valo_daily but it pretty much speaks for itself.

I was going to talk about all the disturbing commercials that have been appearing lately but I have been talking about them on and off for a while so I don't see the point in doing an entire post about them.

Islamic art and Architecture class was torture for many reasons, one was a certain individual that I may have a crush on. This is just too ridiculous to discuss further.

I was also going to do a review of Uneasy Listening vol. 2 but lets just say I like it better than vol. 1, especially the first three songs and leave it at that.

Ok this weekend was actually pretty good. My mom came and we got along the whole time, mostly. She brought me homemade stroganoff. Yay! We went shopping on friday and saturday. We got lost trying to find Borders on Friday so we went to the mall instead. My mother never gets to go to the mall so she was excited. Her favorite stores there are Claire's and Hottopic. We also went to Toys'r'us. I should probably never be aloud in toy stores. I play with everything and it takes every ounce of my being not to run around the store squealing. On Saturday we went to Saturday Market and she go this wall plaque that says Carpe Noctem. We finally found Borders. So yes, I am finally in possesion of the May Metal Hammer. Unfortunatly, I saw the Classic Rock Magazine with Steven Tyler on the cover but did not have the money to get both. le sigh. Anyway, the rest of the day was spent at thrift stores, Shoes Right Here, the chocolate shop, and several other stores. My mother likes to shop but doesn't get to get out much. At somepoint when we were in my room my mother was watching South Park, yes, its ok to be frightened. She left sunday with about half a carload of my belongings. Yet, when you look in my room it doesn't look like anything is missing. sigh. We were going to get a hotel for one night as a treat away from the dorms and a chance at a private shower. But we decided against it because of how much the vet bills were being estimated at.

Now here comes the bad news, the very bad news. My kitty is sick. My bratty evil cat that everyone hates, that is the center of my universe that I spoil rotten and love as though she is my child is sick. She is very sick. She wasn't eating and she was dehydrated so my mom took her to the vet Friday before she left to come up here. They said that Ruby was just a bit dehydrated and that her teeth were to blame for her not eating and that he was going to keep her over the weekend on an IV and give her a "dental" on Monday and she would be fine. We called Saturday to check on her and they said she was getting better. She was sitting up and screaming at everyone (very normal behavior for her). We went shopping for canned food because he said no more dried food. We got her a new tag for her collar. I looked at toys I was going to get her to say I was sorry for being gone so much. I called mom after she was supposed to pick up Ruby from the vet today. She was crying. Ruby is much worse. She is still dehydrated. They have given her so much fluid she should be over hydrated. She is barley moving. They have her in an oxygen tent. Her temperature is below normal so they have her on a water circulating heating pad. They have ruled out an infection because they have given her very antibiotic they could find with no change. They don't know what is wrong with her. I'm sobbing for hours on the phone and my mom is asking me what I want done with the body. She's not dead yet! I can't go home. I want to go home. I'm stuck here another month. Hairball tried to make me feel better with ice cream and gummi bears. I stopped careing about school and work awhile ago. I've already lost my dog, several family members, and a friend since this hellish school year started. I just want my kitty to be better.

Here we go another long-ass update. I figure since I haven't given a real update in over a month, so I thought I would honor you with one of my trade mark very long bullet style updates. It's really long but it's worth it. So get a snack, pull up a chair and Enjoy!

If you don't click it how will you know? )

Wow that was long.

Well today was...different. To start off with it was storming really hard this morning but then by afternoon it had stopped. For the rest of the day it couldn't decide between being sunny or cloudy. I went to lunch with my dad. We went to the bowling alley of course. We chatted, we ate, the usual. It also turns out that my favorite restaurant, Lee's, is shut down. I also didn't do a very good job of screening my calls because now I'm helping my aunt move the hospital bed tomorrow. I did start a new book today. Its an autobiography called If It Die by Andre Gide. Its a nice read really. It has a nice flow to it. Its kind of witty and sad in a beautiful way if that makes any sense. Most of the day was spent snuggling the kitty. She hasn't left me alone all day. I wasn't "feeling well" so I lit my favorite candles. They are the rainbow tea lights I keep in the Indian (as in country in Asia) style dish, my beeswax sweet pea scented breast cancer candle, my Nirvana scented Karmic Cube I keep in the purple glass holder, my pomegranite scented candle in the Him tin, and my white pillar candle. It worked for awhile, then mom came home. I went to the post office today and my Revolver, Spin, and Jane magazines came. I was all excited to read them and then I remembered I also have the stack of magazines that came for me while I was at school. I still read them but then it seemed like more of a chore than entertainment. I think mom broke my shredder. She has been the only one to use it since January and now it doesn't work. It seems like a reasonable assessment to me. I accidentally broke a bowl today making dinner (tuna sandwich with coconut cream pie and chocolate milk). It fell out of the cupboard as I was closing it, bounced off the counter, and exploded when it hit the floor in to tiny shards that went from one end of the room all the way into the laundry room. I have been toying with the idea of doing my hair up in kind of a pony tail mohawk for years but when I went into the living room to get my cd player as I was hiding in my room waiting for House to come on, some guy on American Idol had his hair that way. I have now decided against it, but I still maintain that my hair would have been way cooler. Today on the news they showed something about some prison doing Inmate Idol. The winner and his cell block or section or whatever won food from Pizza Hut and McDonald's as a prize. The judges were an Elvis impersonator, Alice Cooper, and the county sheriff. I have also discovered there is such a thing as press on toe nails. No Comment. *shivers* I also finally found my cell phone today. I had a text from Martini and she is sad. I wish i could go to her and make her happy, perhaps by bringing Ville with me wrapped in a pretty bow. I also don't know if I like this Simply Sleep stuff. I sleep but it give me weird dreams, well not weird more like unpleasant and annoying. As Scarlett once said "tomorrow is another day."
