In your own space, set some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private.
I revisit my goals frequently so these are going to change. When it comes to my goals for the year, I like to do a brainstorm of what I might like to work on for the year at the beginning of January, let them simmer for a month or two, then tweak them into more refined, workable goals. (Okay, they get tweaked during the simmer period too, but they don't feel fully formed yet.) These are my current 2022 goals in their brainspew/word salad form:
clean my room/make a difference in my habitat/create a space that is livable and comforting
finish my shit
improved relationships/relationships that feed my soul/create affirming relationships
fix the food issue
clean bathroom – like a full deep cleaning and decluttering
effective decluttering – I had a massive multi-day garage sale planned for 2020, which obviously didn't happen, and while I could use the money more now, than I did when I was planning that in 2019, I need to sort stuff out and to make space/downsize more at this point and I'm still debating the best way to do that going forward
read at least 30 books
write 60,000 words one month, just one month
do more things that bring me joy – the more I poke at this, it seems to be more about revisiting pastimes I've abandoned for various reasons and miss and carving out time to do them.
more selfies – This is actually an attempt at building more self-acceptance by taking pictures of myself (maybe even pictures I like of myself) and considering I take zero selfies now, any selfies would be more selfies. I'm not posting them anywhere.
more self-affirming queerness – I am not entirely sure where I was going with this, but I stand by it
finish Batman project
more pagan stuff – there has to be a better way to word this
