Challenge #2

In your own space, set yourself some goals for the coming year.

My goals for the year are still in the nebulous, "well, this is kinda what I'd like to do," stage and haven't been fleshed out into real, actionable goals yet.

I have been thinking about them a lot, it is the season, but also several comms I'm in have had their goals for the year check in posts, and I set up my new bullet journal pages and my planner for the year. Based on those things, my goals will look something like this:

Christmas Crab

Fresh cracked crab meat (can use canned or shredded fake crab)
Mayonnaise
Garlic powder
Lemon juice
Celery (diced)
Onion powder
Season-All (or seasoned salt with preferred spice blend)
Parmesan cheese (grated, small)

1. Mix all ingredients except crab to taste
2. Let sit 2 hours (preferably in fridge)
3. Taste and adjust seasoning
4. Mix in crab
5. Taste and adjust seasoning
6. Put in bowl or form into ball on plate

Serve with crackers or spread on toast.

This is a long time family staple for the holidays. Locally, dungeness crab are in season around Christmas. Though, in recent years, the season often gets pushed back because the crab have not been able to get up to weight by then. My mother also uses this recipe for seafood salad and chicken salad.

I mean to do this ages ago, but it's been a bit difficult. I just want a public post up in case someone is wondering what happened to me.

1) I'm not sick anymore,I think. It was about 23 days of not being able to do much of anything. I've been doing a better the last couple weeks, but I have like no stamina and my mental health is not so great.

2) Still no replacement computer yet, but the issue is purely me at this point. Between my phone and the library, I can do a lot of things, but not everything and not necessarily in a timely manner. This update is from my phone by the way.

3) In better news, vexed_wench and I managed to get our Winter Fest in July bingo up on allbingo on time, which is running until the end of the month; Vine Fest running at madrona_project on time - which runs into the middle of next month;and got two more tables open at krazykattstableemporium. And a big thank you to kiramaru7 for willing to be back up if we couldn't do it.

I've got a bigger locked post coming, but typing on here is hard. Hope you are all doing well.

Hello all!

July is here, meaning so is Christmas in July, one of my second favorite holiday/celebrations. vexed_wench and I are hosting the Winterfest in July bingo over at all bingo to celebrate. Our prompt lists are massive and it should be a good time and have been fun the last couple years vexed_wench has ran it.

(For you bingo lovers, vexed_wench and I will also be running our Fall Fest bingo again this year in November and kiramaru7 and I will be hosting iPod Shuffle bingo in December.)

Now, the other thing that has me excited, Shark Week! Last year I was lamenting that no one thought to do a challenge of any kind for Free! during Shark Week last year. I sort of dropped the ball again this year, but if my fellow Free! fans would join me in creating some sort fanwork for the fandom (especially Rin based) sometime this month, that would be awesome.

For those of you who are just intrigued by writing something Shark Week based, I am willing to write up a prompt list for tables or bingos if requested.
