spiralicious | Episode Reaction Post 12.20

I really liked this episode; solid plot, an interesting MoW, the door was left open for more Twins plotline. I even liked Mary this episode. I don't really have a lot to say about it. Spoilers under the cut.

Yay! They brought the twins back! I hope they are setting them up to be something interesting next season and not shoving what could be a very promising storyline into the last three episodes of this season.

Wait, did we not have our seasonal “the struggles of the Winchesters are mirrored by another duo so that the Winchesters may learn from them” episode yet? Is this it?

God damn it. They still have the colt. And while its melted, it doesn't look as melted as it did last week. They are going to fix it. Damn.

Do you think Sam has been waiting 12 years to say something like that to Dean?

Dean really better get to use that grenade launcher.

Purely an aesthetic issue, what was up with the boys' hair this episode? Its like they tried to give Dean grey temples and then changed their minds and Sam's hair looked glued in place a few times.

Dean unhand that glass until someone shows you how to hold it properly. (Though, I think they caught a moment when he slipped back into Jensen and then suddenly remembered he was supposed to be being Dean with that glass. The transition was not subtle, but funny.)

I liked Mary. I have been waiting for this Mary all season. Why did they have to wait until episode 20?

Dean got to be a badass again! He had purpose! Not that I haven't been enjoying Sam's badassery, especially since he's been a bit off the last couple seasons, but it was getting really, really uneven. You think they were trying to balance out from the last couple seasons and way over compensated?
