When did you join Dreamwidth?

Why did you join Dreamwidth?
At the time, I had been on LJ since 2006 and I liked the udea of having a place to import/back up my journal. There were also several writing challenges and communities I wanted to take part in that were only on DW.

What's the meaning behind your Dreamwidth username?
As I said in another meme: Way back in the day, I made sure none of my usernames matched for reasons and at the time I made my AO3 account, this was a recent nickname because of my hair. I made my DW account not long afterwards and for some reason on a whim, I decided that my AO3 & my DW names should match, but only them.

What's your favorite thing about Dreamwidth?
The long form blogging. The familiarity. The slower pace. The fact that you can actuallyhave conversations with people. The vibe. It's pretty chill here.

What's your least favorite thing about Dreamwidth?
It feels harder to connect with people than it used to.

Dreamwidth free, paid or premium?
Free

What do you get out of Dreamwidth that you don't get from anywhere else?
I feel more connected with people I interact with here.
