Episode Reaction Post 12.05

So, I have been trying to avoid episode reactions until I catch up. That is really difficult. I was pretty much able to do it with the last two, but this one, not so much. I mean, I didn't get any real details, but from what I did end up hearing, mostly from tumblr reposts on Pinterest, the episode was not what I had expected. I expected some serious shark jumping. It was pretty much a normal episode. It's most egregious sin was that it was mildly boring. And let's face it, we get a couple duds a season. It was a little weird that they pulled out the Thule now, but we know they have had that in their back pocket for a while, just waiting to pull it out.

That being said, it did have a few moments. Sam said antiquing. That will never, ever not be good for giggles. Dean and his inability to not touch everything in the antique shop. We had a very clear Sam saying, “so get this” moment, even if Sam did not say “so.” Sam getting mildly pissy when the girl called the Thule "Nazi zombies" and corrected her that they were necromancers. Dean and the grenade launcher. Please someone find him a time to use a grenade launcher. Also, Dean being all happy he killed Hitler.

So basically, a mildly boring filler episode. They happen.

YAY you caught up. It wasn't a bad one it just was boring. Yes for the holidays Sam need to take Dean and the grenade launcher out somewhere and let him go nuts.

Almost. I still have 12.06 to watch. Yeah, it wasn't engaging, I guess? That would be the best Christmas present ever, for Dean.

I thought this one was one of the worst episodes ever. It wasn't boring so much as STUPID in 10 foot high capital letters. It felt like they had a contest to find the worst piece of fan ficcage out there & made an episode out of it. Everyone felt like a parody of themselves, especially poor Dean. This was like the kind of thing those idiot Brits should have been all over & instead we get a couple of Sam & Dean cosplayers. (Yeah, I know it was the Boys, but it sure didn't feel like them.)It was like the writers kinda gave up while writing this one. All I can say, is thank goodness they redeemed themselves with the next episode.

I'm sorry you felt it was that bad. They can't all be winners. This ep was written by one of the two new writers they have this season, so maybe that's why it felt so off to you. At least you enjoyed the next one, which I haven't watched yet.

Yeah? That one wasn't a bad episode, but it wasn't a great one either. XD Hopefully they'll get more consistent & we'll end up with another awesoem season! :D
