Episode Reaction Post 12.15

spiraliciousI actually got to watch Supernatural on Thursday night! I just couldn't get to writing out my reaction post until now. Another good episode. Under a cut for spoilers.
Mostly, I am happy that the plot moved and it did so at a decent pace.
Hellhounds! I love hellhounds. I loved them more on this show before we got to see them, but I love them just the same. That being said, I fully admit that doing the scene of the hellhound's death as seen through the lens of the glasses that fell off Sam's face was pretty cool.
Is it wrong that I thought Dean being covered in days of goo was dead sexy? The second thing in my notes here is literally, “Gross Dean <3 <3.” I may need help.
I see you there, Negan reference. That explains all that on Twitter a few months ago. No, I don't think this is foreshadowing that they will bring JDM back. The show has a long history of referencing current and former cast members' past and current outside projects.
Okay, Cas still showing his badge upside down has ceased to be cute. It was the first time. Now, its like, “Really? Still?”
All of the Crowley vs. Luci was amazing. Especially the end. I knew he was plotting something.
Dean's face when Crowley said koalas. His facial expressions are a treasure.
Gee, Cas is once again tempted with power and will probably make bad decisions for the right reasons. I am so shocked. Okay, the snark isn't entirely warranted. It is a very Cas thing to do (and I am pretty sure Sam and Mary are once again doing that as well). And I am curious as to what this is going to be exactly and how it is going to bite everyone in the ass.
Dean and Crowley in the woods was adorable. I think it was my favorite part of the episode.
Dean in glasses is always an awesome thing. Also, I really liked the plaid shirt he was wearing this episode. The colors were good for him.
Yay, for Sam being a badass!
Yay for some brother moments in the episode as well. I am glad they are not dragging the secrets out like they usually do, but the end seemed too ease.
When I was discussing this with Vexed, she said she thought it signified maturing. I think it signifies Dean is just tired. (Which could be the same thing in this case.) Look at everything they go through and the especially non-stop events of the last couple years.
Either way, there will be an explosion later, about 98% certain. Mostly because of the way Dean had that pissed off wife, “Go talk to your mistress” look when he told Sam to answer his phone at the end.
