Part of this repeats this post and this post, but some of it is new.

It's a little long, so I put it under a cut. Not all of you will find the information useful, but you might know someone that will. Please pass on the info you think might help.

As I have said before, I am staying on LJ. Most of my flist is staying, so here I am, but I am also running a DW account at the same time. I have had it for back up for about five or six years and I have been actively using it for a few months now.

If you have seen a DW journal friend you over there or join your comm named spiralicious, that is me. That is also my username on AO3.

I have not decided what I am going to do with gummiwolf yet, aside from locking it back down. It's been totally locked before and its not like it gets much traffic anyway. Also, because I haven't decided what I am doing with it yet, I will be only updating (fic wise) gummiwolf and my AO3 for the time being.

Once again, I am also spreading the work about The Big LJ/DW/IJ/etc Community Directory. It is a directory of communities on Lj and IJ with links to their DW equivalents. If you know of or own a community that should be on that list, please let him know. As of right now, there are STILL NO SPN COMMUNITIES on the directory. 

Also, if you have a community or know of someone with a community, even if it you don't feel like it should be added to the directory, please at least consider backing it up on DW. As anotherfmafan said in one of her posts, “Backing up is always a good idea regardless just to be safe, so I beg you for the sake of those of us readers/viewers who love your works, please back up your fic and art that is at LJ to another site where it can be enjoyed even if you think it’s old/bad/embarrassing/whatever. To somebody out there, that work means the world to them, and it would break their heart to lose it.” And there are some comms out there that some of us you hate to lose too. The queue is really backed up at the moment from the amount of traffic, but the process is fairly painless.

And finally, if you or someone you know is making a complete or partial move to DW, this is a really helpful post with great tips.

You know, after I posted that all over the place, I realized that I myself didn't have all of my fic up at AO3! lol. Time to practice what I preach and put up the older fic, even if I cringe as I do it XD (It is backed up at DW of course, but still)

Sometimes it takes a scare to get people (including myself) to put backing up at the top of their to-do list. So at least that is the silver lining of this situation!

I think I finally have it backed up, as of one day just last week. Now I just have to figure out how to crosspost and make certain it's doing it right. It's all a matter of time really. I've gone from saying that I absolutely would NOT do DW to being willing to do both if I just had the time, but I really don't. You know how far behind I am with my messages as is. ;)

*hug* I get it and I'm behind too. The transition can be difficult, but there is a handy guide linked in this post. I have more, but I'm having trouble finding them at the moment (someone else asked this morning. I might have to re-get them from Vexed.)
