They are all about promoting Fandom Activity Hosted on Dreamwidth.

fandom_on_dw's purpose is simple: promotion and showcase of fandom activity on Dreamwidth.
Though Dreamwidth has developed something of a reputation of being populated only with fannish users and fannish content, actually finding fests, ficathons, fic memes, big bangs, exchanges, meta opportunities, and the like that are actually hosted here can be a bit difficult. For those of us who have made our home here on Dreamwidth and don't use other sites, this can be frustrating.
fandom_on_dw seeks to change this, providing a clearing house and calendar of Dreamwidth hosted (or mirrored) fandom-participation opportunities.
I think building fandom on DW would be a good thing. Please pass it around.
And while I am at it,
squidgiepdx's Big LJ/DW/IJ/etc Community Directory is still very light on SPN. If you know of any comms, SPN or otherwise, that should be added, please let him know and pass it around.
