Well, now that I am well rested I shall continue my summary of fall term.

Hairball and I had a lot of problems getting together over the term but we did manage a good bye dinner at our favorite Thai restaurant. It was very memorable to say the least.

Saying goodbye to everyone was not easy. There are many people I had gotten close to at school and I will probably never see most of them again. I don’t think I got as many hugs in my whole life as I did during my last two weeks at school. One of my professors cried. I didn’t think I would miss them as much as I do.

My first roommate, Pashy, and I got together my very last night at school. We spent most of the day talking and walking around. Then we went to dinner at the trendy bar. She even got to say goodbye to my mom, who got into town while Pashy and I were at dinner, who came to town to help me pack. I had my last final the next morning and then had to be moved out of my dorm that afternoon.

During fall term I also finally got to go to Holiday Market. I went with my roommate because Hairball could not go like we had planned because of health reasons. I got to say good bye to “The Guy” from Barbarian Pottery.

I got to live in the brand new building, LLC. It had an amazing bistro downstairs, with soups, custom sandwiches, customs salads, pastries, coffee, smoothies, and sushi. It also had an area desk, which I worked at the year before. There are also class rooms, sculptures, and entertainment areas. The Halls had a large lounge like every other hall on campus but they also had two study lounges. Each floor had nice large restrooms with showers, for each gender. The showers were in individual stalls with walls instead of curtain dividers. Each hall was co-ed. The rooms are significantly larger with useful furniture that you can move. All in all it was a much nicer experience.

I had planned a huge rant about my roommate but my opinion of her has softened with time apart. Despite any problems I may have had with her, we had some good times. I could have done a lot worse. And I’m sure I drove her just as crazy as she did me at times. When I called her on her birthday she still thinks I was the best roommate she ever had. It’s a nice feeling. I miss her TiVo. I miss our late night outings. I miss having a person I could have a conversation with, in person. Aw hell, I miss her.

I miss work. How sick is that? Ok I don’t miss work; I miss the people I worked with at the main office. Well, I miss most of them. We had a tedious job but we tried to have fun doing it. They actually gave me a nice send off. One girl later even sent me a Christmas card.
