I completely agree with that article. Whenever I hear about purity rings, I always think that it's so tacky. It's not a piece of jewelry that keeps you a virgin until marriage, it's really self control that does.
I think that purity rings are really just overrated. Come to think of it, i think that the Jonas Brothers are the same, but that's just my opinion.

EXACTLY! This is one of those things I get a bit riled up about and can't really say anything. But THE WHOLE THING IS JUST STUPID! And just slightly dangerous.

Agreed. I really hate the whole, "If I wear a purity ring, I won't get pregnant!" type of attitude about it. The thing is that it all has more to do with peer pressure. I always think that maybe if we didn't hear about sex all the time, teenagers wouldn't feel so compelled to have it at a young age.

I agree with the peer pressure thing. I also think that it isn't just hearing about it all the time but also the way/context teenagers hear about it. They are hearing about it from the wrong sources and getting bad/incomplete information.
