If this seems familiar, I updated last year's post.

*waves* I'm Kat or Katt or kattrip033 or spiralicious or SpiralKat or a variety of other things, depending on where you know me from, as I have a tendency to have a different username everywhere, but mostly, I'm Kat, even in real life.

I'm still in the process of sprucing things up for the new year, but my sticky posts, profile, and interests are pretty up-to-date.

Speaking of sticky posts, one is my “Important Links” with a lot of links, one of which being an about me page. It was last updated in July, but its still mostly accurate.

The other is my “comment to be added” post with my friending policy and what to expect out of my journal.

The basics are I'm 35. There are four cats that kind of own my life, though I have only been living with two of them for about ten months now. I had been housesitting for 44 weeks a year for about ten years, that ended in March 2020. Since then, I have been living full time with my mother, and my aunt moved in with us shortly after that. I'm an artist with a degree in art history. I am a major fan puppy, queer, nonbinary, and pagan, though I rarely talk about the last three things. Actually, fandom doesn't pop up that much either most of the time. And I live middle of nowhere adjacent.

I am also very attached to my book club that is currently on hiatus.

My journal is partially flocked and partially public.

I have a lot of fandoms, 80 at last count, but my main ones are Supernatural, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Good Omens, Merlin, Blue Exorcist, Inuyasha, Avatar: the Last Airbender, Ghost in the Shell (Stand Alone Complex mainly, but the franchise as a whole), and I have been spending a lot of time lately in my comfort food fandom: Batman.

As far as ships go, I am that shipper they made that armada meme about. I wish I was kidding, I have over 45 in Supernatural alone, but in most fandoms, I just have a handful.

In fandom, I read, I write, and, sometimes, I beta.

Mostly, I post semi-random things about my life; things the cats did, lunches with my mother, movies I saw, local events, that kind of thing. Not that I have generally left the house, aside from picking up books at the library, in the last year. I (try to) do a weekly “Good Things” post and a weekly update to my goals. But I do memes and challenges too.

I love both of the Stargate and Good Omens and I've so much about Avatar: the last airbender that I've had to look it up, it's intrigued me. I've discovered I can watch it here in the UK on AmazonPrime, lol. I've bookmarked your A03 page to explore later.

Cool! If you decide to watch Avatar: tla, I hope you enjoy it. It's a kids' show, but it still manages to deal with some deep issues. I'm lucky that I own the series on DVD. It has been hard to stream in the US for a while, but it came back to Netflix here last summer. Apparently, they are making a series reboot/continuation. Oh, wow. I'm flattered. I hope you enjoy.

I'm also a cat lover, so many Snowflake participants are! Very cool.

I live in the middle of nowhere, too, but I'm on the other side of the country. *g*

We unexpectedly acquired a cat last year (we already had two dogs) and I've discovered that I love being a cat mom.

I just about choked when I read that you have 80 fandoms and 45 pairings in just one of them! Wow! I thought I had an interest in a lot of fandoms, but you've got me beat by a mile. o_O

I saw that you've written in some fandoms I have an interest in (even if I'm not super active in the fandom) so I've bookmarked your AO3 page to go through later.

Aw. It's amazing how most cats find their people, instead of the other way around. Being a cat parent is a weird and special thing. (Though a confirmed cat person, I do miss also having a dog, not going to lie.)

I really should ease people into the fandom thing, but I feel the need to warn people what they are getting into ;) ...It's actually more than 45 in that fandom, but my friend and I felt it was important to stop counting at that point, lol. In most of my fandoms, I don't have that many pairings, and in the ones that come close, it's actually more like I have a couple solid pairings and then a group of 3-5 characters I really like and feel the need to mix and match as needed because they just work somehow.

Howdy there! I used to live in almost the middle of no where. There was an air force base nearby, so it wasn't entirely no where. I currently live in the city and it's uh... loud. LOL

I haven't written for ATLA, but I have consumed a lot of media for it from when I was a kid and even now as an adult. Who knows, maybe I've read something that you wrote? c:

I've been posting fics "regularly" as a more recent thing. Any old fics I ever written I posted was on my super old Deviant Art for Harry Potter haha.

edit I realized I commented on this twice. I also snooped through your animanga and was surprised you actually took the time to keep track of EVERYTHING you've read/watched. Sounds like something I would do and I'm kinda glad you did! We got some fandoms in common and a few ships in common.
