Notes: This was a gifted tea. Given my history with turmeric tea, I was a little skeptical with this one, but flavorwise, it was well balanced between the ginger and the turmeric. It was quite enjoyable and a good stomach soother.

Turmeric is not my favorite flavor, but I have some inflammation and some some digestive issues, and its helpful with both of those. It's in the ginger family and native to the Indian subcontinent and southeast Asia, so you find it in a lot of things like curries. In the US, it's easiest to get in powdered form. A little bit goes a long way and IT DYES EVERYTHING YELLOW. The flavor is very bitter and earthy. Good quality turmeric has a warm, peppery flavor. Old turmeric tastes like dirt.
